Amar Choudhury Bengali: অমর চৌধুরী) (born 1898, date of death unknown) was a Bengali film Actor, Director, Editor, Writer. He directed Jamai Shashthi (Bengali: জামাই ষষ্ঠী) in 1931 produced by Madan Theatre Limited, credited as the first Bengali talkie [1]. It was released in the same year as Alam Ara, first Indian talkie.Released on 11 April 1931 at Crown Cinem Hall in Calcutta.
